Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• 2 years of experience at SEFD or equivalent department
• AZ CEP • BLS/HCP CPR (or equivalent) • ACLS CPR (or equivalent) • PALS CPR (or equivalent)
• AZ FF I/II (equivalent or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• AZ Ropes Operations (or equivalent) • NWCG FF II (or obtained after hire)
• Blue Card certified (or obtained within 18 months)
Preferred:
• Associates degree (or higher)
• NWCG Firefighter I (or higher) Compensation and Benefits (partial list)-
• Annual salary approx. $50,000 to 61,000 (based on qualifications) base plus overtime opportunities and wildland assignments
• Annual clothing allowance
• Participation in PSPRS

Minimum Qualifications:
All candidates must be able to complete an in-person interview, 1582 annual physical and Fire and EMS assessments.
Interviews and testing will take place fall the first two weeks of November. Candidates not currently possessing AZ FF 1 and 2 (or equivalent) status will be required to obtain it within 18 months of initial employment. Applicants not hired may be placed on a ranked eligibility list for future consideration.
