Meeting Room Reservations
![]() The Rules: It is the aim of the SEFD board of directors to make the SEFD facility available for the widest possible use by the local community. However, SEFD emergency functions will take precedence over any community use. Approval will not be granted for any meeting, which may in any way be prejudicial to the best interests of SEFD. All cost for adequate supervision and power usage will be the responsibility of the applicant. Applicant is responsible for leaving the room in the condition in which it was found: chairs and tables returned to their original configuration, room cleaned, trash in trash cans, doors locked and secured, and cooler or heater turned off. Under no circumstances should anyone be allowed to enter the equipment bay and touch, handle, examine, etc. any of the fire and medical equipment contained therein. All fire, building and other safety codes will be adhered to by all. SEFD personnel will have access to the facilities at all times, should a need occur. Applicants will obey all laws of the state of Arizona and Santa Cruz County while using SEFD facilities. Applicants will take financial responsibility for any damage to SEFD facilities, equipment, supplies or other SEFD property while applicants are on the premises. To request to use the meeting room, fill out a Facilities Agreement form and bring it to the fire station 7 AM-7 PM, seven days a week, or mail it to PO Box 322, Sonoita AZ, 85637. |
Open Burn Permit Effective January 1, 2003 a permit must be obtained for open burns in the Sonoita-Elgin area. Application for an open burning permit may be obtained by calling the Sonoita-Elgin Fire District, or the PDF file below. Open burning permits are issued at no cost. All outdoor burning is regulated by the State of Arizona. No permit is required for fires used only for cooking food or for providing warmth for human beings or for recreational purposes or the branding of animals or the use of orchard heaters for the purpose of frost protection in farming or nursery operations. All other outdoor burning requires an open burning permit. To request an open burn, fill out a burn permit and bring it to the fire station 7 AM-7 PM, seven days a week, or mail it to PO Box 322, Sonoita AZ, 85637.
