Support volunteers assist with operations and administration. Operational
support includes things like traffic control, and getting food and
water to crews. Administrative support includes non-operational
tasks like fundraising, radio programming, and building upkeep.
Support service technicians are key to our success. They perform
important functions and free up personnel with certifications to
do medical and fire operations. More...

Emergency medical services volunteers perform pre-hospital medical
operations. First responders perform basic first aid and assist.
Basic EMTs perform life support functions and stabilize patients
until they can get to the hospital. Paramedics also perform life
support functions but on a more advanced level. Paramedics can administer
certain drugs and can read cardiac rhythms. The majority of our
calls are medical or trauma, so this is an important function. More...

Firefighters fight structure fires, vehicle fires and wildland fires.
They also do rescues and extrications. Although we have fewer calls
involving fires, left unchecked, fires spread into bigger and bigger
fires, so this is a very important function. More...

Dispatchers respond to the station and provide a communication life-line to the on-scene crews. They handle the bulk of the communications between the Sheriff Office Dispatch and the District personnel. They may be asked to call for mutual aid, extra transport units or asked to determine the location of and estimated time of arrivals for law enforcement, tow trucks or other agencies. Dispatchers provide a vital connection between the staff on scene and other agencies.
